Two Museums of Zigong UNESCO Global Geopark Won Multiple Honours in the Sichuan-Chongqing Main Venue Event for the "International Museum Day"

The 2023 Sichuan-Chongqing Main Venue Event for the "International Museum Day" was held at Changshou District Museum on 17 May. It concentrated on the display of new achievements in museum development, boosting the influence of the Bashu civilisation and facilitating the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle. In this event, Zigong Dinosaur Museum and Salt Industry History Museum, two core museums of Zigong UNESCO Global Geopark, won multiple honours.

Zigong Dinosaur Museum: The "Basic Exhibition of the Dinosaur Exploration Building - The Age of Giant Creatures on the Rock" was awarded as one of the Top 10 Museum Exhibitions in Sichuan Province in 2022. The "Stratigraphic Section Multifunctional Exhibition of the Dinosaur Exploration Building" was awarded as an excellent case for the innovative application of digital cultural relics of museums in Sichuan Province.

Zigong Salt Industry History Museum: The animation titled "24 Filial Exemplars: Tasting Decoction" was awarded as one of the Top 10 Museum-related Short Videos in Sichuan Province in 2022. The "Caring for Society and Gathering Sparkles - Volunteer Service Project of Zigong Salt Industry History Museum" was awarded as an excellent case for volunteer service projects of museums in Sichuan Province. The "Special Exhibition on China's Salt Industry Cultural Relics and Red Culture" won the Excellence Award for the Promotion of the Top 10 Exhibitions in Sichuan Province.
