Welcome to
Buried in pale yellow sandstone and purple siltstone 15 m above the Estheria shale of the bottom of Member 2 of Shaximiao Formation, the site belongs to early Middle Jurassic Era. The excavated fossils includes 10 large sauropod fossils, 1 carnivorous dinosaur fossil, 2 Stegosaurus fossils, more than 500 pieces of dinosaur teeth, as well as a large number of fragmented fossils. These fossils belong to 4 species of dinosaurs within 4 genera – Tuojiangosaurus multispinus, Szechuanosaurus campi, Omeisaurus fuxiensis and Zigongosaurus fuxiensis.
